Hot Almond Butter

Hot Almond Butter

Serves 16 (about 1 heaping tablespoon)

1 can of Gold Emblem Roasted and lightly salted almonds

In a food processor process the roasted almonds with absolutely nothing else. Let it go for a 25 minutes, scraping it down as you go it will start to get powdery and then smooth. If necessary stop it a few times to scrape the sides. Some flavors you can add are cinnamon, honey or some brown sugar. I wouldn’t add this until the end otherwise it may change the consistency of the  almond butter!

Nutrition Tip:

The reason this makes more sense then buying almond butter in the store is literally the whole jar is only about $5 and can be found at CVSI I don’t know about you but I collect CVS coupons, sometimes you can get 2/ $5 and then it’s really a bargain! You are also saving yourself the questionable added oils and other ingredients. Store this in an air tight mason jar for up to a week. You can also place in refrigerator. It won’t separate it may get a bit dry. If so, just heat and eat!
