Date Shake

I made up this recipe when my cousin told me to eat a lot of dates for a fast and easy labor!

I don’t know if it worked but it was so delicious, filling and energizing I decided to make it a breakfast regular. Enjoy!

Date Shake

Serves 2

Ingredients:

4-6 dates, pitted

1 large ripe banana

1 tbsp chia seeds (soak with about 1/4c water for a half hour to an hour)

5-10 ice cubes

6oz of skim or almond milk

2 dashes of cinnamon

Directions:

First add just half the amount of the milk in the blender and then all ingredients. Start to blend and add the milk as you go until you get a creamy smooth consistency. Enjoy! This serves two so i add it to two mason jars and cover one for the next morning.
